The airport and the freeways

Des Moines International Airport, at 5800 Fleur Drive, is 4.0 miles away. SE 14th as U.S. 69 connects quickly to U.S. 65 and the Interstates (I-35 and I-80 ring the metro), so the rest of the region is an easy reach by car.

By bus

DART Route 6 runs the length of SE 14th Street between DART Central Station downtown and Southridge, so the community sits right on the line. The route's stops include the SE 14th Walmart, Southridge Target, Southridge Hy-Vee and Blank Park Zoo. Service runs through the day, about every half hour at peak and hourly otherwise; the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority publishes the current schedule at ridedart.com, so plan the trip there rather than trusting a route number printed here.
